Practice warm-up is mid to late April

Season games start the second week of May and end in the third week of August

Game times are Tuesday and Thursday mornings 9:30 am – Noon

  The core of the Kelowna Seniors Slo-Pitch Association (KSSA) membership includes local Central Okanagan players. League play is open to players up and down the valley who can regularly participate in the Tuesday and Thursday games, or the game days they commit to on their respective team (example Tuesday only games). The Competitive division includes teams from the Vernon association, with some games hosted on their top quality south-side Vernon diamond. Both the Recreational and Competitive divisions are very accommodating to past player injuries; for example, enabling an appropriate defensive position, and allowing for pinch runners. 

The Recreation division plays 1 game with 5 outs per inning so everyone gets more opportunity to bat. The Competitive division plays 2 games each game day with 3 outs per inning. Both Recreational and Competitive have a maximum number of runs per inning, and the 7th (last) inning is open. 

KSSA welcomes teams and players from beyond the immediate Kelowna area, and strives to have teams balanced for equal match play and fun. The April practice warm-up period helps facilitate this balanced formula. Player registration fees are collected by their respective division, and players are required to self-register at no charge with 

Slo-Pitch National (SPN).
